Conference-exhibition on «Research and publicity of Heydar Aliyev`s heritage» was held
On April 22 the conferece - exhibition on the «Research and publicity of Heydar Aliyev`s heritage» started its activity in the customs history museum of the State Customs Committee. Jointly held measure with the Central Scientific Library of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences was devoted to the 85 years jubilee of the national leader Heydar Aliyev`s birthday.

Drugs were detected
The citizen of Nakhchivan city Mammadov Ilham Tofig oglu coming on foot in the visa form to the Republic of Azerbaijan from the Islamic Republic of Iran passed through the customs control of the Passenger Department of Astara Customs Office.

Smuggling cases are prevented resolutely
During carried out customs inspection of car with mark «VAZ-2107», registration NoAAV 12 belonging to the citizen of the Georgia going to the same country with applying cynological dog by employees of the Struggle Department against Smuggling and Violation of Customs Regulations of Balakan Customs Office in the «Mazimchay» customs post 0.615 grammes narkotic means- heroin was detected and taken from the back of the handle of the front right door, in the saloon of the above mentioned car.

Relations between Azerbaijan and Great Britain customs services are developing
On April 23 the Chairman of the State Customs Committee, customs service Lieutenant-General Aydin Aliyev received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to our country Mrs.Dr.Caroline Brown.
The Chairman of the State Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev warmly greeting the guest spoke about existing relations detween Great Britain and Azerbaijan and reminded the development of the cooperation in the political, economical and cultural sphere.
As a result of the successful continuation of the implemented successful economic reforms for the sake of our republic of the national leader of our people Heydar Aliyev by honourable President Ilham Aliyev at present Azerbaijan turned into a leader state for the development tendesion in the region, said with satisfaction the Committee Chairman. He attached a special importance to the relations between our country integrating into the Euroatlantic space and Great Britain and spoke about the importance of the cooperation in all fields.

WCO Europe Region Heads of Customs Conference was held
On February 28-29 the World Customs Organization Europe Region Heads of the Customs Conference was held in Dublin city, the capital of Ireland. The delegation headed by the Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, customs service Lieutenant-General Aydin Aliyev took part in the measure.
According to the given information by our delegation the Vice-Prime Minister of Ireland Brain Coven opening the meeting greeted the measure participants. Then the head of the customs service of this country Mrs Josephine Fehily made a speech and wished successes to the conference participants.
